At Connect-Dots, we offer three essential services tailored to the needs of students
Connect-Dots delivers a holiday-based training and practical work experience program for university students. It equips them with soft and hard skills, entrepreneurship thinking and financial literacy. The program also includes workplace exposure through placements with real employers. Students are supported with meals, transport, materials and mentoring throughout the process.
South Africa faces one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world. Many university students, especially from under-resourced communities, graduate with strong academic results but lack the workplace experience, soft skills, and financial literacy needed to succeed. Employers seek more than a degree. They want readiness, confidence and professionalism. This gap leaves thousands of capable young people stranded between education and employment. Connect-Dots exists to close that gap.
The program targets 2nd-year to final-year students from low-income households and historically disadvantaged backgrounds. Many are first-generation university attendees who show academic promise but lack exposure to professional environments. In 2025,Connect-Dots aims to serve 100 students in Gqeberha with plans to expand further across the Eastern Cape, and then to South Africa.
Prioritizing safety and security, we conduct thorough criminal background checks on all program participants. This measure provides peace of mind to our partnering institutions and reinforces the integrity of our initiatives.
